About BBC Radio 4

Listen online to the internet radio of BBC Radio 4 live, which has more than 10 million weekly listeners, making it the second most popular radio station in the United Kingdom, just behind BBC Radio 2. The station primarily focuses on speech-related programmes, with very limited music content. Its programming delves into in-depth perspectives on world politics, domestic politics, journalism, and offers diversity through refreshing comedy, compelling readings, and drama. Additionally, topics in arts, science, and history are integral parts of its engaging programme structure. Radio 4 regularly provides shipping forecasts, news updates, and weather reports. During the night, from 1:00am to 5:20am, BBCR4 broadcasts a selection from BBC World Service. The breakfast show on BBC Radio 4 is the immensely popular "Today" programme, airing on weekdays from 6am to 9am, and on Saturdays from 7am to 9am. "Today" covers national and international news, as well as sports. Furthermore, the "Thought for the Day", which features inspirational thoughts from religious thinkers, is included in the programme, typically around 7:45am. Presenters of the "Today" programme include Justin Webb, Martha Kearney, Mishal Husain, Nick Robinson, and Amol Rajan.
