About talkRADIO

Listen online to the internet radio of talk RADIO live here, on UK Radio Live!
talkRADIO is a digital radio station in the ownership of the Wireless Group. Despite the only digital distribution, it has 424.000 weekly listeners across the UK.
talkRADIO as its name shows, leaves out music from the programme structure, but instead brings everything under the scope what can be debated, without any topic restriction. In talkRADIO's schedule, talk-shows, phone-ins, analyses of viewpoints lead the listeners beyond the ignorance, furthermore the latest international and national news broaden the spectrum of obtainable knowledge.
talkRADIO brings double morning shows on every day of the week. The weekdays start with an early breakfast show from 5am to 6:30am with James Max, and after it Julia Hartley-Brewer takes over the word until 10am. On weekends, Cristo Foufas from 5am to 7am performs the early thought-provoking, and after it, between 7am and 10am begins the breakfast with Penny Smith, who discusses the current news, arts, and gossip.

You can tune to the other "talk" radios of Wireless, below the player, furthermore talkSPORT and talkSPORT 2 are also included as individual stations here, on UKRadioLive.

It’s not working out: Jamie East exits talkRADIO
Broadcaster Jamie East is leaving News after four years on-air at talkRADIO and Virgin Radio. Jamie tweeted yesterday saying he’s hosted his final show at talkRADIO, and he’s sorry it didn’t work out. He thanked bosses Scott, Liam and others, adding that it was (mostly) a laugh. In a separate message, he responded to a clip of Mark Dolan cutting up his face mask live on air, saying “It’s clear that TalkRADIO has a clearly defined idea of where it’s heading, sadly not many of those ideals were a great fit. So, off the back of the recent @thesmart7pod’s success I’m able to wish them all the best for the future. Wear a mask, save lives.” ...More >>

Ian Collins leaves BBC Radio Kent for talkRADIO
Presenter Ian Collins has left BBC Radio Kent where he has been hosting breakfast for the last 20 months. He joined in October 2018 to co-host Breakfast with Anna Cookson but all BBC local radio schedules are changing to have single presenters hosting four hour shows. Ian is now hosting afternoons on talkRADIO, weekdays from 1pm till 4pm. It marks a return to the brand for Ian, who worked at the original national speech station from 1995 to 2011. He says: “Being back on talkRADIO feels more like a privilege than a job. The news agenda is such a busy place right now and it’s never been more important to be part of a format that reflects the full range of views out there, and also to bring some positivity back to current affairs radio."...More >>
