BFBS is an acronym for the British Forces Broadcasting Service, which has been founded in 1943 to provide radio and television for His Majesty's Armed Forces worldwide. The radio service of BFBS Radio network offers 24 different broadcasts from the UK and around the world, as well as a number of digitally distributed music genre-oriented channels. The BFBS radios air music, news, entertainment and community services to the community of global forces around the world. Most of the channels broadcast in English, but one of the most popular BFBS channels, the BFBS Gurkha Network uses Hindi and airs native music to Gurkhas around the world.
