About Signal 1

Listen online to the internet radio of Signal 1 live, the radio station that launched in 1983 to serve the Staffordshire area, later expanding its reach to Cheshire in 1989. Signal 1 is owned by Bauer Radio Ltd., and member of the Planet Radio station group. The Signal 1 playlist is a carefully curated selection of the most popular hits from the past two decades, with a primary focus on current music. The station's schedule is filled with locally produced programmes, interactive phone-ins, and a commitment to avoiding automated programming. Weekdays on Signal 1 Radio kick off with the energetic breakfast show, hosted by Elliot and Matilda, running from 6am to 10am. This dynamic duo helps listeners start their day on the right note. Additionally, Signal One consistently runs engaging competitions, offering listeners the opportunity to win cash and a variety of prizes through the Signal 1 Cash Register. "The Hits UK Chart", hosted by Sam Thompson, is Bauer's proprietary chart show featuring the top 40 hottest songs, and it is broadcast from 4pm to 7pm on Sundays.

Bauer no longer has to sell Wolverhampton licence
The CMA has published additional findings in its investigation into Bauer owning the Wolverhampton licence for Signal 107. It now says there is no problem with Bauer keeping the service, having revised its view to provisionally conclude that no SLC has occurred or may be expected to occur in the supply of local radio advertising in the Wolverhampton area.
