About BBC Radio 3

Listen online to the internet radio of BBC Radio 3 live, which is the second most listened to especially classical music broadcaster radio station in the UK, nearly 2 million weekly listeners choose it for its conservative perspective in entertainment. BBC Radio 3 offers a mild mixture of speech related programmes and classical music. The orchestra-concert lovers can find their interest in the schedule, because the “Radio 3 in Concert” takes place from 7:30pm to 10pm on each weekday, with live concert broadcasts. Every summer, the famous “BBC Proms” concerts are broadcasted live in this time-slot, expanded to the weekends. The “BBC Orchestras and Singers” are also part of the programme structure. Besides the classical music, shifts to full time dramas and talks about arts and culture diversify the schedule.
The station's morning programme on every day of the week, from 6:30am to 9am on weekdays, and on Saturday from 7am to 9am arrives with Petroc Trelawny, and from 7am to 9am on Sunday with Martin Handley. The main function of the radio's "breakfast show" is not to shrill for waking up the listeners, but to set the mornings' keynote by playing the classical music requests of the listeners besides the presenter's picks.

BBC Radio 3 's slogan: "Classical, jazz, world music, drama, documentaries, features… and light in the darkness."

What does the BBC’s Annual Plan say about Radio?
OPINION: The BBC is required to publish its annual plan each year. Just as with every broadcaster, however – and every industry – this year’s is atypical. Even when the COVID crisis abates, life will never be the same again. My notes here focus largely on radio, but it is worth citing the general headlines from the report, which bear out Ofcom’s latest research published yesterday: “As social distancing began in the UK in the third week of March, pan-BBC reach among adults peaked at 94%. That is: 94% of the British public used the BBC that week. 86% of young adults aged 16-34 used the BBC that week, up from 77% the week before”...More >>
