About Absolute 70s
Listen to the internet radio of Absolute 70s live, launched in 2011 as a sister station of Absolute Radio. It offers some of the oldest music in the decade-oriented sisterhood, with a playlist mainly comprising pop, rock, soul, and disco genres from the 70s. Listeners choose it for nostalgia or for the unique experience of tuning in to the heroic age of music, a time when digital intervention hadn't yet touched the soundwaves of recordings. Apart from some harmless rudimentary synthesisers, there were real voices, genuine instruments, and authentic poetic values in the lyrics due to the absence of digital enhancement options. Ironically, the broadcast is distributed only through digital channels. There's no analogue availability for the voice of a digitally untouched age of music. Absolute 70s Radio is owned by Bauer Radio Ltd. and is a member of the Planet Radio station group. The station wakes up listeners and sets the tone for weekday mornings with "The Dave Berry Breakfast Show" airing from 6am to 10am, hosted by Dave Berry. The programme also provides fresh news packages to listeners from Emma Jones.
