BBC Radio 3's Late Junction announces first ever festival

Magic flips main station to 100% Christmas
Magic Radio will switch to playing all Christmas music from this Friday instead of launching a separate service. Previously, Magic Christmas was in addition to the main station on 105.4 FM in London and DAB nationwide, but this year the festive tunes will replace the usual playlist. The station tweeted the information on Tuesday morning, saying “So, um. This Friday at 9am… we’re going 100% Christmas.”Publication date: 27.11.2018

Kiss Breakfast team to join Radio 1 for late show
Kiss breakfast trio Rickie, Melvin and Charlie are leaving Bauer to join BBC Radio 1 as hosts of the new weekday late show from next year. They take over the Monday to Thursday 9-11pm slot following the departure of Charlie Sloth last month. Rickie Williams, Melvin Odoom and Charlie Hedges have been on Kiss for the last decade and currently do the biggest commercial radio breakfast show in London.Publication date: 26.11.2018

Ofcom resolves complaint over Hits Radio competition
Bauer has added an extra set of Terms and Conditions to a competition as a result of a complaint from a listener about the Sarah-Jane Crawford show. Ofcom received correspondence alleging that a round of “Sarah-Jane’s Split Second Song” competition was conducted unfairly on 17 July 2018 at 19:00hrs. Tiffany Calver takes over the Rap Show on Radio 1
BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra has hired Tiffany Calver to host The Rap Show, as a replacement for the recently departed Charlie Sloth. Tiffany starts on January 5th and comes from KissFresh where she hosted the Hip-Hop show till recently. She is the first female presenter to host the show, recently presented by Charlie and previously by Tim Westwood.
