TalkSPORT take overseas cricket rights from BBC

The commercial broadcaster will cover England's upcoming tours of Sri Lanka and the West Indies. The BBC has lost the rights to cover England's upcoming cricket tours of Sri Lanka and the West Indies on radio to commercial broadcaster TalkSPORT. It is the first time since 2005 that the BBC's Test Match Special has lost the rights to an England overseas tour.

Ofcom: Listeners not ready for AM switch-off

Ofcom says listeners are not ready to give up on AM just yet, but has agreed to let Bauer close or reduce the power of 17 transmitters across England and Scotland. Nine responses were received to the consultation, which asked for views on the proposal to cut back the AM network for Absolute Radio.

BBC Radio 1 has announced a major overhaul of its line-up, with the weekend schedule now starting on Fridays. New shows are announced for Maya Jama and Mollie King, with Scott Mills taking over the chart show.
