Changes at KISS including new weekend schedule

Bauer’s KISS has today unveiled a fresh new weekend schedule. Charlie Powell, Swarzy Macaly, Alex Mansuroglu, Sam Darlston & Omah Howard all feature on the new look line-up launching on the 7th of September. Brand new pairing Sam and Omah are both previous winners of ‘KISS Chosen One’. This is Omah’s first regular show on the main KISS station, joining 2015 KISS Chosen One winner Sam, who previously presented late nights on the station and on KISS Fresh, for their 2-5pm show. Diversity duo replace Tom & Daisy on KISS Breakfast

Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely, two original members of the dance group Diversity, are taking over the breakfast show on KISS. Tom Green is leaving the station whilst Daisy Maskell moves to breakfast on KISS Fresh from July 13th. Jordan recently co-hosted The Greatest Dancer’, while Perri placed as runner-up on this year’s ‘Dancing on Ice’. They are both presenters together on Nickelodeon too. Jordan and Perri said “This is major!! The minute we stepped into KISS last year, it felt like coming home. We grew up listening to the station, vibing off the playlist and we feel it just ‘gets’ us. KISS to join six other Bauer stations in Europe for #RadioRave

A 5-hour dance music show is to air across seven radio station in Europe at the end of this month – across the seven countries that Bauer Media operates radio stations in. The #RadioRave will broadcast on KISS in the UK, along with KISS branded stations in Norway and Finland, RMF Maxxx in Poland, The Voice in Denmark, NRJ in Sweden and Radio Expres in Slovakia. The line-up for the show at 8pm Central European Time on Saturday 30th May will feature DJs including David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Majestic and Joel Corry, in what Bauer is calling ‘one of Europe’s largest house parties’...

Ronan & Harriet join Tuning In Livestream line-up

The line-up for the Tuning In Livestream event has been announced by Radiocentre. Magic Radio’s Breakfast hosts Ronan Keating & Harriet Scott will join in to discuss broadcasting their show from home, and how it feels to present a radio show during a crisis. Radiocentre CEO Siobhan Kenny will open the conference with a presentation about the work of commercial radio and Radiocentre during the Coronavirus pandemic, both on-air and behind the scenes. Winners announced for Young Audio Awards 2020

All the winners from this year’s Young Audio Awards have been announced during an online awards ceremony hosted from home by Award Ambassadors Matt Edmondson and Mollie King from BBC Radio 1. They were joined by special guests including Annie Mac presenting Best in Music to 15-year-old Oli Hackett, whose show, Musicals My Way, is syndicated from his home in Corby and airs across 43 different radio stations around the world, including in the USA and Spain. Bauer plans big night of radio coverage at BRITs

KISS and Radio 1 team up for the Young Audio Awards

Presenters Matt Edmondson and Mollie King from BBC Radio 1 and KISS FM’s Swarzy and Tyler West are joining forces for the Young Audio Awards 2020. The national presenters are ambassadors for the event which takes place on March 17th in London. There’s just one week left to submit entries for the competition, which celebrates radio and audio created by under-18s and school radio stations.
