Schedule changes for Virgin Anthems, Chilled and Groove

Virgin Radio Anthems, Virgin Radio Chilled and Virgin Radio Groove are having some changes made to their schedules next month. Jez Welham, Sean Goldsmith and Matt Brown join the team whilst Chris Brooks, Rich Williams and Dave Kelly take over new slots. Sean Goldsmith joins from Bauer’s Greatest Hits Radio and will join Virgin Radio Chilled to present weekday evenings from 6pm. Children’s author Matt Brown, who previously worked for Capital, Heart and Magic, will present Virgin Radio Chilled’s weekends from 2pm- 6pm. Former KISS FM and Capital XTRA presenter Jez Welham (in the photo above) will join Virgin Radio Groove to present on Saturday and Sunday from 2pm – 6pm...

Tom Green joins Hits Radio as Hattie Pearson moves to weekdays

Morning changes at Hits Radio mean a new weekday early breakfast show for Hattie Pearson and Tom Green joining the network for weekend breakfast. Tom Green comes from KISS where he previously co-hosted Breakfast. He’ll replace Hattie on the Saturday and Sunday 6-9am slot, as Hattie moves to Monday to Friday 4-6am. It marks a return to ‘Hits’ for Tom as he used to present Breakfast on The Hits before joining KISS in 2017. John Isherwood, who previously hosted the overnight show on Hits Radio, departed the network at the end of 2020...

Radio presenter Charlie Powell swaps KISS for Capital

DJ and producer Charlie Powell is joining Global as the new host of The Capital Weekender overnights. The former KISS and KISS FRESH host will be on-air from tomorrow every Saturday and Sunday from 1.30am till 5am and Monday afternoons on Capital Dance 4pm – 7pm. Charlie Powell said: “I’m so excited to be joining the Capital family. It hasn’t sunk in yet, but it’s a dream come true. Henrie Kwushue joins KISS for weekend radio shows

KISS has hired 25-year-old DJ, presenter and broadcaster Henrie Kwushue to host the weekend early breakfast show from 9th January 2021. Best known for her work on Spotify’s Who We Be UK’s podcast and contribution to the No Signal Radio station online, Henrie also famously presented the Thursday evening drivetime show on community station, Reprezent Radio. Following her production company’s (HTK Production) docuseries ‘IS YOUR AREA CHANGING’ in 2020, Henrie won the Dazed 100 fund, which allowed her to hire creatives from underprivileged backgrounds to work on the production of a series of short films under the title ‘Untold Stories’...

Absolute Radio has announced it is creating the UK’s first virtual office Christmas party, and anybody is invited to join in. Bastille and Blossoms will be the headline performers in the day-long event which is happening on-air on Friday 4th December. KISS reinvigorates specialist shows with KISS Nights

Eleven new specialist shows are heading to Bauer’s KISS in the form of KISS Nights. From 9pm Sunday – Thursday, and 7pm Fridays and Saturdays KISS will reflect the current musical landscape of dance music, black music and everything in between. KISS stations unite for the Haunted House Party

KISS FM, KISSTORY and KISS Fresh will unite to broadcast the KISS Haunted House Party for the first time this year. The event is usually held at London’s Wembley Arena but will be online and on-air this time round, hosted by KISS Breakfast’s Jordan and Perri. Harriet Rose is joining Jordan and Perri on KISS Breakfast as a regular contributor from Monday. Former MTV presenter Harriet will provide entertainment news and music features during the show. Changes at KISS including new weekend schedule

Bauer’s KISS has today unveiled a fresh new weekend schedule. Charlie Powell, Swarzy Macaly, Alex Mansuroglu, Sam Darlston & Omah Howard all feature on the new look line-up launching on the 7th of September. Brand new pairing Sam and Omah are both previous winners of ‘KISS Chosen One’. This is Omah’s first regular show on the main KISS station, joining 2015 KISS Chosen One winner Sam, who previously presented late nights on the station and on KISS Fresh, for their 2-5pm show. Diversity duo replace Tom & Daisy on KISS Breakfast

Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely, two original members of the dance group Diversity, are taking over the breakfast show on KISS. Tom Green is leaving the station whilst Daisy Maskell moves to breakfast on KISS Fresh from July 13th. Jordan recently co-hosted The Greatest Dancer’, while Perri placed as runner-up on this year’s ‘Dancing on Ice’. They are both presenters together on Nickelodeon too.
