talkSPORT 2 makes the move to News UK building

News UK is welcoming the talkSPORT 2 team to its building as the station moves out of its home in Hatfields. The station is tweeting video content of the presenters in the new studio from this morning, which is in Southwark overlooking the River Thames, next to The Shard. Virgin Radio is already broadcasting from the News UK HQ, with Chris Evans currently using the future talkRADIO studio ahead of a larger studio being completed for his own show and the rest of the station.

RAJAR Q3 2018: London and national brands update

Nick Grimshaw left the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show with half a million more listeners than a year ago – handing them to Greg James who took over the show halfway through the last quarter. The show now attracts 5.75m listeners (Mon – Fri) and is up 465,000 Year on Year. In London, Capital is back on top with almost 2,100,000 listeners according to Reach in the London commercial radio battle, as Kiss slips back under the 2m listener mark (1,958,000). Magic is in third place (1.5m) whilst Heart comes in 4th (1.4m). But BBC Radio 4 continues to lead the London Reach with 2.4m listeners.

talkSPORT and 5 live announce World Cup plans

talkSPORT and BBC Radio 5 live have announced their coverage plans for the upcoming football World Cup in Russia. The commercial broadcaster is promising over 800 hours of content and all 64 games live across its stations, while 5 live also has commentary rights to every game.
