The VOX Awards are now open for entries ahead of the annual awards ceremony and voice-over conference in October. Radio helps mark release of Now 100 album
Radio stations including Absolute 80s, Virgin and BBC Radio 2 are among those airing special programmes as the 100th Now That’s What I Call Music album is released. Bauer digital station Absolute 80s is broadcasting a celebration at 8pm tonight (Thursday), presented by Mark Goodier, called “That Was Then, This is Now 100”. Ofcom has requested a meeting with LBC managers to discuss its compliance processes after it rejected a complaint about Nigel Farage. Record online figures for BBC Radio 5 Live sport
A record number of people have listened to 5 live’s podcasts and the station has seen a surge in online listening since the start of the World Cup in June. Last month there were more than six million downloads of station podcasts – a record monthly figure for the station. Chris Evans remains the BBC’s highest paid radio presenter in the latest figures published by the corporation today.
