A new autumn season of programmes for BBC Radio 3
BBC Radio 3 Controller Alan Davey has unveiled a raft of new commissions and programmes at the station for the autumn season. Chris Evans to leave BBC Radio 2
BBC Radio 2 today announces that Radio 2 Breakfast Show presenter Chris Evans will be leaving the network. Thirteen years after presenting his first show for the station, he will broadcast his last show in December 2018. Chris says: “I have absolutely loved every single moment of my time at Radio 2. Matthew Wright to do afternoons on talkRADIO
Matthew Wright is joining Wireless station talkRADIO from next week to present the 1-4pm afternoon show, replacing Jamie East. Wright recently finished his daily Channel 5 TV show after 18 years – a slot taken over by Jeremy Vine from today. BBC Radio 3 Announces 'Late Junction' Festival for 2019
Radio 3’s Late Junction programme will be hosting its first dedicated festival in 2019. Mark Goodier is returning to Absolute Radio to host a series of classic album playbacks in September. Eddie Mair to host the Drivetime show on LBC
Eddie Mair will take over the Drivetime show on LBC starting on September 3rd, replacing Iain Dale. The former Radio 4 PM host will be on-air for two hours, from 4pm till 6pm weekdays, as part of a revamped schedule, putting him up against his former BBC slot. Wisebuddah wins Radio 1 late show commission
BBC Radio 1’s new late indie show with Jack Saunders will be created by Wisebuddah, with Fuzz Chaudhrey hired to produce the nightly programme. Jameela Jamil to present new Radio 4 programme on sex and consent
This autumn BBC Radio 4 will broadcast three new programmes examining sexuality and consent in the modern age.
