BBC Radio 3 Announces 'Late Junction' Festival for 2019
Radio 3’s Late Junction programme will be hosting its first dedicated festival in 2019. Alan Davey made the announcement today at the End Of The Road Festival, where the evening show is curating a stage for the second year running. Mark Goodier to host new Absolute Radio series
Mark Goodier is returning to Absolute Radio to host a series of classic album playbacks in September. The man who’s got the best music will present five albums over the five Saturdays in September, starting 8th September, as part of the station’s 10th birthday celebrations. Eddie Mair to host the Drivetime show on LBC
Eddie Mair will take over the Drivetime show on LBC starting on September 3rd, replacing Iain Dale. The former Radio 4 PM host will be on-air for two hours, from 4pm till 6pm weekdays, as part of a revamped schedule, putting him up against his former BBC slot. Wisebuddah wins Radio 1 late show commission
BBC Radio 1’s new late indie show with Jack Saunders will be created by Wisebuddah, with Fuzz Chaudhrey hired to produce the nightly programme. Ian Collins leaves LBC after five years on-air
Late night presenter Ian Collins has left LBC to take some time off, just days before Eddie Mair is due to join the station. Jameela Jamil to present new Radio 4 programme on sex and consent
This autumn BBC Radio 4 will broadcast three new programmes examining sexuality and consent in the modern age. Two-part programme The New Age Of Consent will be hosted by actress and broadcaster Jameela Jamil and will look at recent explosive conversations around sexual assault whilst trying to determine what consent in sex and relationships should look like in a modern, digital world.Publication date: 23.08.2018

Greg James welcomes listeners to Radio 1 Breakfast

Bauer Media Group agrees to acquire Jazz FM
Jazz FM has been sold to Bauer Media for an undisclosed sum. The independent station, which has 672,000 weekly listeners, will be managed by Bauer’s Steve Parkinson, Group Managing Director of National Radio. BBC Radio 1Xtra has announced three additional artists for this year’s 1Xtra Live line-up. Hosted by the 1Xtra DJ family, the station’s flagship live music event will take place in London at the O2 Arena on Saturday 22 September.
