Zoe Ball welcomes listeners to new Radio 2 Breakfast

BBC Radio 2’s new breakfast show started this morning with Zoe Ball welcoming listeners old and new to the programme and the new team. Zoe’s first song was Respect by Aretha Franklin just after 6.30am on Monday. Her team includes Richie Anderson on travel, Mike Williams on sport, weather with Carol Kirkwood, news with Tina Daheley and a daily Pause For Thought.

Come over for breakfast, says Chris Evans & family

Chris Evans and his family are appearing in a new marketing campaign for his upcoming Virgin Radio breakfast show... Joining Chris at Virgin Radio from Monday 21st January will be many of his team from Radio 2, including Vassos Alexander as sports reporter and Rachel Horne who will be expanding her role as the breakfast show travel guru – providing regular news bulletins as well.

Jordan and Perri joins KISS FM UK for weekends

Diversity stars Jordan and Perri join KISS for Sunday evening show whilst KISS Chosen One winners Swarzy and AJ also get weekly shows. Jordan & Perri found fame with dance group Diversity on Britain’s Got Talent 2009, and will share their own take on the world and what people are talking about every Sunday evening from 7pm-11pm. Tina Daheley joins Radio 2 breakfast team

BBC Radio 2 has announced the full team for the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, with former Radio 1 breakfast newsreader Tina Daheley joining the station. She’s added to the previously announced line-up of travel presenter Richie Anderson and sports presenter Mike Williams. Zoe says: “I am thrilled to be joined by such a talented trio in the form of Richie, Tina and Mike. Now this top team are ready for Monday, we can’t wait for people to hear the show!”

Kelly Brook joins JK at Heart for London Drive

Kelly Brook has joined Global to take over as a co-host with JK (Jason King) on London’s Heart. Kelly posted on social media that she ‘finally got a proper job’ last week, and started that job on Monday 7th from 4pm till 7pm. The model has been covering on the show recently while regular presenter Lucy Horobin covers Heart London breakfast, co-hosting with Jamie Theakston as part of some interim changes at the station.

Greatest Hits Radio launches with new line-up

Greatest Hits Radio has launched on FM, AM and DAB in a number of regions across England, with Mark Goodier joining the network for a daily programme. Hits Radio to launch own UK Chart Show

Bauer is to broadcast its own chart show each Sunday afternoon following its decision to drop the Official Big Top 40 from Global. The UK Chart Show will broadcast every Sunday 4pm till 7pm with Sarah Jane Crawford across the Hits Radio Network from this Sunday, 6th January 2019.
