Europe’s Biggest Dance Show returns at Radio 1

Radio 1 is broadcasting Europe’s Biggest Dance Show for another year as nine radio stations come together for the event. Stations from eight different countries will air an eight hour dance music simulcast on Friday 23rd October. Naga Munchetty replaces Emma Barnett at BBC Radio 5 Live

Naga Munchetty is taking over from Emma Barnett in the new year as host of the mid-morning programme on BBC Radio 5 Live. The well-known television presenter will be on-air Monday to Wednesday from 10am till 1pm after guest-presenting on the station over the summer. Cillian Murphy returns to BBC Radio 6 Music

Cillian Murphy is back at 6 Music to host a new 12 part series called Cillian Murphy’s Limited Edition. The series of two-hour programmes launches on Monday 19 October on 6 Music (12am-2am) and sees Cillian curate his own nocturnal playlist, made for after midnight. The programmes will feature a personal selection by Cillian of music both old and new, with genres ranging from afrobeat to electronica, jazz, spoken word and poetry and featuring iconic artists including Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, David Bowie and many more. Bauer stations to air new Scottish sports show

A new sports show – The Big Saturday Football Show – is being launched across five Bauer stations in Scotland from next Saturday. Presented by Steven Mill and Ewen Cameron, the 2-6pm programme will broadcast on Forth 1, MFR, Tay FM, West FM and Radio Borders. Joanna Page to host Sundays on BBC Radio Wales

Winners announced at Irish radio awards event

Five radio stations in Northern Ireland picked up awards at the All-Ireland radio awards, the IMROs, last Friday. KISS stations unite for the Haunted House Party

KISS FM, KISSTORY and KISS Fresh will unite to broadcast the KISS Haunted House Party for the first time this year.
