Clare Teal is joining Bauer for new Jazz FM show

Clare Teal, who hosted her final show on BBC Radio 2 this week, is joining Jazz FM. Clare announced she was leaving Radio 2 in November, and did her last programme on January 3rd 2021. Now Jazz FM’s breakfast presenter Nigel Williams has announced the broadcaster is joining the national jazz station to present big band and swing every Sunday night for two hours on The Clare Teal Show. Her first show will be on Sunday 24th January and her weekly two-hour slot will feature music handpicked by Clare. Clare says: “I am beyond thrilled to be joining Jazz FM. Jazz FM introduces Space Is The Place drama

As part of its 30th anniversary season of programmes, Jazz FM is set to broadcast a new series of specially commissioned dramas in the run up to Christmas. Based on five pivotal moments in the lives of some of the station’s artists, “Space Is The Place” will broadcast each evening in Dinner Jazz with an omnibus edition on Saturday evenings. The stories will feature moments in the lives of jazz titans Miles Davis, Nina Simone, Louis Armstrong and the man whose album and film ‘Space Is The Place’ lends its name to this series, Sun Ra. More stars confirmed for Jazz FM’s The Music that Made Me

Jazz FM has confirmed three more jazz superstars as part of its The Music That Made Me series, which features artists intimately discussing their most defining musical influences and inspirations. Tomorrow evening (5 September) at 9pm, Jazz FM’s Nigel Williams will be in conversation with American singer-songwriter Norah Jones. The nine-time Grammy Award winner had early success with her album Come Away With Me and eighteen years later released Pick Me Up Off The Floor in June. Robbie Vincent returns to Jazz FM for bank holiday show

Presenter Robbie Vincent is heading back to Jazz FM to host a show for the station for the first time in five years. The former Radio London, Radio 1 and Kiss DJ has been a figurehead of jazz, funk and soul music broadcasting for the last five decades. He previously hosted the Jazz FM breakfast show from 1998 to 2002 and the Sunday Morning Soul show 2008 to 2013. Robbie appeared as a guest on Jazz FM for the station’s 30th birthday celebrations earlier this year. RAJAR Q4 2019: London and national brands round-up

Winners announced for the 2019 Audio Production Awards

The winners have been revealed for the Audio Production Awards at a gala evening at the BFI Southbank, hosted by Tommy Sandhu. The special Gold Award went to the Mental Health Minute, coordinated by Radiocentre and produced by Somethin’ Else in 2018 and TBI Media in 2019.
