Pandora replaces Toby Anstis on Heart mid-morning show
Former Capital and Kiss presenter Pandora Christie is joining Heart to host the weekday mid-morning show and Saturday night Club Classics. She takes over the UK’s biggest commercial radio show from Toby Anstis next week (8th April), three months after her departure from Kiss. Pandora started out at Global on the promo team, before beginning her presenting work with Choice FM on overnights then daytimes.Publication date: 02.04.2019
Toby Anstis to step down from Heart Mid-Morning Show
Heart’s mid-morning presenter Toby Anstis is stepping down from a daily radio show on the network after 16 years. He will be staying with Heart as host of Club Classics every Friday night from 7pm, replacing Annaliese Dayes (Friday and Saturday Club Classics host) who is leaving the brand. Local Capital and Heart Drivetime programmes remain in Wales
Five Capital and Heart stations in Wales will need to continue providing their own drivetime programmes, despite Ofcom creating an “Approved Area” for the entire nation. In the new approved area, under normal circumstances, Heart in Cardiff and Heart in Wrexham would be able to share all programmes because they are in the same approved area, similarly with Capital.Publication date: 09.03.2019
Global to network Capital, Heart and Smooth breakfast shows
Global will broadcast national breakfast shows on the Capital, Heart and Smooth networks by the end of this year, RadioToday can reveal. Capital will go first with the London output replacing 14 breakfast programmes on the Capital network in England, Scotland and Wales on April 8th. Kelly Brook joins JK at Heart for London Drive
Kelly Brook has joined Global to take over as a co-host with JK (Jason King) on London’s Heart. Kelly posted on social media that she ‘finally got a proper job’ last week, and started that job on Monday 7th from 4pm till 7pm.
