Hits Radio Manchester replaces Key 103

Bauer’s new national station, Hits Radio, has launched – replacing the Key 103 brand after almost 30 years. Gethin Jones, Gemma Atkinson and Dave Vitty have taken over the breakfast show, as Mike Toolan moves to mid-mornings.

talkSPORT and 5 live announce World Cup plans

talkSPORT and BBC Radio 5 live have announced their coverage plans for the upcoming football World Cup in Russia. The commercial broadcaster is promising over 800 hours of content and all 64 games live across its stations, while 5 live also has commentary rights to every game.

Comedian Matt Forde joins Absolute Radio

Comedian Matt Forde is joining Absolute Radio to front the station’s Rock n Roll Football Show on Saturday afternoons, alongside existing co-host Matt Dyson. Forde takes over from Rob Beckett, who has been doing the show since the departure of Russ Williams.
